A B O U T

Hi, I'm Tara Curran.

I am a Belfast based artist with a deep rooted passion for artistic expression which mostly takes the form of highly detailed drawings. I have been drawing for 2 decades but only recently started to share my work publicly. Conversely or perhaps harmoniously - I currently work with cognitive technology in Northern Ireland and previously earned a Masters in Astrophysics with Biomedical applications. Science has only ever enhanced my artistic practice, to me they seem indistinguishable.

My drawings are meticulously thought out with many connective meanings behind them. I am inspired by everything from philosophy to music and often pull unconnected strands together to produce a unified symbolic piece; whether thats an object or a portrait.

In addition to creating original drawings, limited edition prints and commissions - I create cards, bookmarks and invitations. I am an experienced designer, reach out if you have something else in mind!

  • Each print is made to a museum quality standard - that means it comes with a guarantee of lasting for 100+ years.

  • The prints are created in small limited editions of less than 30 prints to conserve their rarity and to allow you to own something unique and uncommon.

  • All materials used are of the highest archival quality - they are made to protect the prints.

  • Each original piece is scanned professionally. The details of each print edition are specially chosen.

  • The framing service I provide is FSC certified. The wood is sourced with conservation and sustainability in mind.

  • Each piece is accompanied by an embossed certificate of authenticity to provide assurance of the artworks authenticity and to document important information.

  • You support many local practices by buying a print - the art equipment suppliers, me (the artist), the printers and the framers.

  • When you buy a print you are supporting all the hours it has taken to create the drawing, to have it scanned, tested and printed. I can’t thank you enough!
